Arlington Town Hall

The Family Folk Chorale is thrilled to announce that the March 24th concert will celebrate the music of the amazing Brandi Carlile. Her music spans many genres, including folk rock, alternative country, Americana, and classic rock. Carlile received nine Grammy Awards and earned 27 Grammy nominations! The range of her work is broad, exploring themes that are joyful, humanistic, poignant, personal and powerful. It is a perfect artistic fit for the expressive palette of Family Folk Chorale voices and instruments.

“Brandi Carlile's music is rooted in tradition and you can hear the influence from some of the greatest songwriters of the past century; Lennon/McCartney, The Indigo Girls, Joni Mitchell, Elton John. She expresses in fresh ways much needed and timeless messages of love, connection, joy and humanity."

— Artistic Director Chris Eastburn

Family Folk Chorale is the Boston area’s premier intergenerational chorus, led by award-winning Artistic Director Chris Eastburn and backed by some of Boston’s most versatile musicians, including Gary Backstrom on guitar; Jonah Backstrom on drums; multi-instrumentalist Quinn Eastburn; and Paul Green of the Wicked Pickers on bass.

Family Folk Chorale concerts are described by audience members as a musical "experience” or “happening” that hails to a time when live music was part of the daily fabric of home and community. Perfect for people of all ages – each concert program provides opportunities to sing and dance along, printed lyrics, refreshments, and a floor seating area up front for young children.

Historic Arlington Town Hall is a fully accessible venue. Take the MBTA bus #77 from Harvard Square, or you’ll find plenty of free, on-street and public lot parking on Sundays. Walk to dinner after the concert at one of Arlington Center's eateries and cafes.
